Andy Warhol (August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987) is considered one of the most celebrated figures in the 20th-century art world. He was a pioneer and leader of Pop Art, and its most influential artist. He was also a filmmaker, writer, rock composer, and publisher, and a renowned star in New York's social and art circles.
